The Titan is Nissan’s light-duty pickup truck. It’s the perfect truck for drivers who like to ride in style and want lots of tech and safety features. The standard engine for the Titan has more power than other entry-level pickup trucks on the market, and this truck comes with more standard safety features than others in its class. After significant updates last year, the 2021 carries over without any changes. Take a look at what you get with the 2021 Nissan Titan.

Trim Levels (Exterior)

The entry-level Titan S has 18-inch painted steel wheels, a removable and lockable tailgate, and heated side mirrors. Upgrade to the SV if you want to add tow hooks as a standard feature, and you also get the option for the tow package with tow mirrors and a Class IV receiver hitch. The Pro-4X adds all-terrain tires, off-road shocks, skid plates, and it also comes with LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. Bump up to the SL for running boards and the option for a panoramic sunroof, or to the Platinum Reserve for upgrades in the cabin.

Engine (Power)

Every Titan gets its power from a 5.6-liter V-8 gas engine that develops 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. It works with Nissan’s nine-speed automatic transmission, and most trims come standard with rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is an option no matter what Titan you have except for the Pro-4X, where it comes standard.

Performance

The V-8 provides the Titan with plenty of power for most driving situations. It accelerates smoothly from a stop, and when equipped with the tow package, it can tow up to 11,040 pounds and haul up to 2,240 pounds. The Pro-4X is the best choice if you take your truck over rough terrain. This has an electronic locking rear differential and hill descent control.

Interior

Depending on the cab and configuration, the Titan can hold up to six passengers, but opting for the front bucket seats reduces seating to five. Cloth upholstery comes standard in the S and SV with leather added to the Pro-4X and above. Stepping up to the SV also gets you a power-adjustable driver’s seat and dual-zone climate control, and if you take another step up to the SL, you’ll get heated front seats. The high-end Platinum Reserve also adds a heated steering wheel, heated back seats, and heated and ventilated front seats.

A nine-inch touch screen display comes in the top two trims, and these also add navigation to the infotainment system that works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An upgraded Fender stereo comes in the SL and Platinum Reserve.

Safety Features

All of the Titan trucks have a full suite of advanced driver aids. The Nissan Safety Shield 360 bundle comes standard and includes automatic high beam headlights, forward-collision warning and mitigation, automatic braking with pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warning. It also has rear automatic braking, a blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert.

An adaptive cruise control system is an available option, and you can also get a road sign recognition system and a 360-degree surround-view camera depending on the trim.
