Engine

The power of the LEAF varies depending on whether you buy the regular LEAF or the LEAF Plus. The standard LEAF's battery generates about 40 kilowatts of power per hour (kWh), provides 147 horsepower, and can run for approximately 149 miles before needing a recharge. By contrast, the LEAF Plus has a 62-kWh battery that lasts an average of 226 miles for each charge and creates 214 horsepower.

Performance

When you buy a LEAF, you don't need to compromise on performance just because you no longer have a fuel-powered engine. With the regular LEAF, you can accelerate from a standstill to 60 miles per hour within 7.8 seconds, or reduce that time to7 seconds flat with the LEAF Plus. Thanks to its easy braking and absence of shifting gears, both models of the LEAF provide a smooth, relaxing, and highly responsive driving experience.

Interior

This compact hatchback has plenty of legroom, whether you're in the front or backseat. All seats are both ergonomic and comfortable. Are you looking to haul some cargo instead? With both of the rear seats folded, the LEAF offers an impressive 30 cubic feet of space.

Safety Features

No matter which model you choose, you can drive with peace of mind thanks to the LEAF's safety features. If it senses danger, the vehicle's system adjusts your speed to avoid a collision.
