Trim Levels

The new Pathfinder features more muscular and upright styling. A floating two-tone roof, newly designed LED headlights, and slimmer taillights form part of the upgraded design. You can choose from four trim levels: the S, SV, SL, and Premium. The base trim offers premium standard features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, power-adjustable side mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators, a rear spoiler, and rear privacy glass. With the SV trim, you receive a few upgrades, which include heated side mirrors and black roof rails.

The SL trim adds LED fog lights, 18-inch machine-finished alloy wheels, and a power liftgate. Apart from 20-inch machine-finished alloy wheels and a panoramic moonroof, the Premium trim boasts a tow hitch receiver with a seven-pin wiring harness and power-folding mirrors with a reverse tilt-down feature. The trim also provides a motion-activated liftgate and rain-sensing wipers.

Engine

All Pathfinders are powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission and generates 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel-drive comes standard and four-wheel drive is optional. With this engine, you can tow up to 6,000 pounds

Performance

The new Pathfinder features revised suspension tuning, which makes for a generally smooth ride. For a more controlled drive over various types of terrain, opt for the available four-wheel-drive system. It provides seven terrain modes, which include Mud/Rut, Sand, Snow, Tow, Sport, and Eco. You also receive a Tow Mode, which makes towing easier and safer. The available Intelligent Around View Monitor comes in handy when you're hooking up a trailer.

Interior

With the standard configuration, the cabin provides seating for eight passengers. However, you can opt for available second-row captain's chairs, which brings the seating capacity down to seven. The cabin is quite upscale and fitted with premium materials and modern features.

The standard 8-inch infotainment system is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, voice recognition, Bluetooth, and USB ports. You can upgrade the system with available features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, navigation, SiriusXM, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a Bose premium audio system, and a wireless charger.

With the base trim, you receive tri-zone automatic temperature control, under-floor cargo storage, push-button start, and cloth upholstery. The higher trims add various luxury features, which include heated and ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, rear sunshades, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Safety Features

All Pathfinder trims come standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, which consists of a range of advanced driver-assist systems. These include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and lane intervention. You also receive blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear sonar system, rear automatic braking, and driver alertness. Available features include lane intervention, blind-spot monitoring, surround-view monitor, and traffic sign recognition.
